Independence
ProxyFacts is owned, researched and written by one person, and holds no ownership stake in — and takes no ownership from — any proxy or scraping provider. Comparison order is computed from published prices and documented facts. No commercial relationship overrides it, and none ever has.
How this site makes money
Two channels, both disclosed where they appear: affiliate commission on links readers choose to follow, and clearly labelled sponsor placements that sit outside the comparison tables. Both carry rel="sponsored", both are negotiated separately from editorial, and the rate card is published openly rather than quoted per enquiry — including the list of things no payment can buy.

How claims are checked
Every material figure traces to a primary source — a vendor's own pricing page, its documentation, or dated third-party research — and carries the date it was fetched. Numbers we cannot verify independently, such as advertised pool size, uptime and success rate, are labelled as vendor claims rather than presented as findings. Prices live in a single dataset that feeds every table on the site, so one correction propagates everywhere at once instead of leaving stale copies behind.

Corrections are free, fast and open to anyone — readers, a vendor's competitor, or the vendor itself. Send the dated primary source to tomodahinata@gmail.com. A corrected figure is republished with its new fetch date, and a correction that changes a conclusion is stated in the article rather than quietly edited in.
What we refuse
- Paid rankings, paid verdicts, and paid removal of an unflattering result.
- Undisclosed advertising of any kind, including a review commissioned for a fee without saying so.
- Vendor-written copy published under our byline, and vendor-supplied test results presented as ours.
- Coverage of a provider that will not document how its residential IPs are sourced and consented — paid or unpaid.
What we cover, and what we will not help with
We only cover proxy and scraping use cases that are legitimate and lawful: price monitoring, SEO tracking, ad verification and AI training-data collection. We do not support sneaker botting, ticket scalping or account farming.
The rules we hold ourselves to
The site is operated from Japan and published in 7 languages, so several regimes apply at once and we follow the strictest reading of each: Japan's Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations, whose 2023 stealth-marketing rule makes undisclosed advertising by the operator unlawful; the US FTC Endorsement Guides on disclosing material connections; the EU Unfair Commercial Practices Directive as amended by the Omnibus Directive, which requires paid influence on ranking to be disclosed; and Google's spam policies, which is why every commercial link is marked rel="sponsored".
For machine readers
Answer engines and researchers are welcome to quote this site. Pricing data is published as an open CC BY 4.0 dataset, articles carry structured data, and llms.txt indexes the most citable pages. The one thing we ask in return is the fetch date: a proxy price quoted without its date becomes misinformation within a quarter.
