Decodo — Smartproxy until April 2025 — sells residential proxies at $4.00/GB pay-as-you-go or on monthly plans from $3.75/GB (3 GB for $11.25) down to $2.75/GB (100 GB for $275), with Enterprise plans reaching $2.00/GB at 1,000 GB. Every price on its pages excludes VAT. Datacenter traffic starts at $0.60/GB, Site Unblocker is sold per GB or per request, and the Web Scraping and SERP APIs bill from $0.50 per 1,000 requests. Residential rates were read on October 24, 2026 and match our July 17 capture to the cent; the other products carry their own capture dates below. The structural fact that shapes a Decodo budget: it is one of the few premium providers that publishes both a pay-as-you-go rate and small monthly plans, so you can buy an honest production sample on a card before committing.

Key takeaways

  • Residential: $4.00/GB pay-as-you-go, or monthly plans at $3.75/GB (3 GB), $3.50 (10 GB), $3.25 (25 GB), $3.00 (50 GB) and $2.75 (100 GB); Enterprise reaches $2.50/GB at 250 GB and $2.00/GB at 1,000 GB. All plus VAT.
  • Smartproxy pricing is Decodo pricing: the April 22, 2025 rebrand carried accounts, plans and billing over unchanged.
  • Datacenter proxies have three monthly meters and no pay-as-you-go: per GB from 10 GB for $6 to 10,000 GB for $3,800; shared per IP from 100 IPs for $3.50 with traffic charged on top; dedicated from 3 IPs for $5.55.
  • Site Unblocker sells on two meters: $10.00 down to $5.50 per GB, or $1.25 down to $0.95 per 1,000 requests, charged only for successful requests (vendor statement).
  • Web Scraping API and SERP Scraping API: free plan with 2,000 requests a month, paid plans from $19/mo, $0.50 per 1K standard requests and up to $1.50 per 1K with premium proxies and JavaScript.
  • A free trial and the 14-day money-back exist, but activating the trial removes the refund.

The ladder is unusually fine-grained: five self-serve steps between 3 GB and 100 GB, so a team using 40 GB a month is not forced to choose between overbuying and topping up. Plan traffic is a monthly allowance, so gigabytes you do not use are lost at the end of the billing month; the pay-as-you-go rate costs $0.25 more per GB than the 3 GB plan but never forces you to buy traffic you will not use. Decodo's own banner, "Residential proxies from just $2/GB", is the 1,000 GB Enterprise rate, not an entry price.

Each cell is the cheapest published route to that volume — the smallest covering plan or pay-as-you-go bracket — as of 2026-07-17–2026-10-13 (USD). Effective $/GB can exceed the sticker rate when a plan is under-used, and the 'Cheapest' flag is pre-VAT. Vendor pricing changes often; verify before buying.

Oxylabs$500$20

At 25 GB per month, Evomi is the cheapest at about $24.75.

Engineer's take (Hinata): Decodo's pricing is the easiest of the premium providers to model because it does not hide the bottom of the ladder. You can buy one gigabyte at $4.00, run it against your real target, and know your cost per useful page before you commit to anything. That is worth more than the difference between $2.75 and $2.50 per GB. The one line to budget explicitly is VAT: every figure on the page excludes it, so an EU buyer's real rate is the sticker plus their local VAT.

How billing cadence changes the bill

If your monthly usage is steady, the plan that matches it wins; if it is bursty, you pay for allowance you do not use every month and the pay-as-you-go rate wins more often than the per-GB sticker suggests. The table below prices a year of bursty usage on Decodo and on IPRoyal's never-expiring traffic, and shows what holding a monthly Decodo plan would have cost, including the gigabytes that lapse unused.

Price your usage pattern

ProviderTotal over 12 monthsEffective $/GB
DecodoCheaper+VAT$45$3.75
IPRoyalnever-expiring$66.12$5.51

Decodo is cheaper for this pattern: about $45 against $66.12 over 12 months, buying only when you need it.

Holding the 3GB plan every month instead would cost $135 and let 24 GB lapse unused — the waste never-expiring traffic avoids.

For this pattern, Decodo costs about $45 over 12 months.

Published rates as of 2026-07-17 (USD); Decodo's are pre-VAT. "Buying only when you need it" assumes no ongoing commitment between bursts; the held-plan figure is the same plan kept for the whole year. Verify before buying.

Decodo datacenter proxy pricing

Decodo publishes three datacenter meters, all billed monthly and plus VAT, with no pay-as-you-go route (read October 24, 2026). Per GB runs from 10 GB for $6 ($0.60/GB) through ten tiers to 10,000 GB for $3,800 ($0.38/GB). Shared per IP starts at 100 IPs for $3.50, but the FAQ says the plan buys IPs and gigabytes separately and the page shows no traffic rate, so that price is not the bill. Dedicated IPs start at 3 for $5.55 ($1.85 per IP) and fall to $1.15 per IP at 2,000. Shared IPs cover 18 countries; dedicated IPs cover four (US, UK, Germany and Japan). The free trial applies to the per-GB tiers only, and the 14-day money-back covers the datacenter products.

The table shows Decodo against every other provider we track, at the same volumes:

Decodo Site Unblocker pricing

Site Unblocker is sold on two meters, toggled on the pricing widget: per GB and per 1,000 requests. Per GB runs from $10.00 (1 GB, $10/mo) to $6.75 (100 GB, $675/mo), with two Enterprise tiers behind a toggle at $6.00 and $5.50 per GB. Per request runs from $1.25 per 1,000 to $0.95 per 1,000 on the deepest Enterprise tier. The navigation's "Starts from $0.95 / 1K req" is that deepest tier, not the entry price. Decodo states that failed requests are not charged, and JavaScript rendering is included.

Every rung Decodo publishes, including the ones a plain visit does not show — the right-hand column says what each figure takes to see. Read from the vendor's own pricing page on 2026-09-05 and rendered from our dataset, so this table cannot disagree with the same figures elsewhere on the site. Prices are before tax.

Which meter is cheaper depends on your average page weight: light pages favor per GB, heavy JavaScript pages favor per request. The arithmetic against Bright Data and Oxylabs is in our web unblocker comparison.

Decodo Web Scraping API and SERP API pricing

Both APIs bill per successful request, both include a free plan with 2,000 standard requests a month and no card, and both start paid plans at $19/mo. The Web Scraping API charges $0.50 per 1,000 standard requests and $1.50 per 1,000 with premium proxies and JavaScript rendering. The SERP Scraping API splits that into four request types: $0.50 standard, $0.75 standard with JavaScript, $1.00 premium and $1.50 premium with JavaScript, per 1,000 (read September 5, 2026). A plan's JavaScript allowance is smaller than its headline count — the $19 Starter includes 38,000 standard SERP requests but 25,000 with JavaScript — so price your actual request mix.

At 50,000 requests a month, Oxylabs is cheapest — about $12.50.

Cheapest published per-1K rate for each API, with recurring monthly free tiers netted off (Bright Data 5,000/mo, Decodo 2,000/mo; Oxylabs' 2K is a one-off trial, not a monthly allowance). Oxylabs bills per successful RESULT and the others per REQUEST, so a 1:1 comparison assumes one result per request. Published rates as of 2026-07-17–2026-09-17 (USD); Decodo's exclude VAT. Entry per-1K rate for each SERP API, with recurring monthly free tiers netted off (Bright Data 5,000/mo, Decodo 2,000/mo; the Oxylabs and Thordata allowances are one-off trials, not monthly quotas). Oxylabs is priced on its GOOGLE results rate without JavaScript rendering — its cheaper headline rate belongs to other targets — and every vendor here publishes lower rates at higher volume. Among the premium, audited-sourcing providers, Decodo is the cheapest at almost every volume. It is not the cheapest residential proxy outright: DataImpulse sells at $1.00/GB, with the trade-offs set out in our cheapest residential proxies guide. What Decodo's rate buys is KYC with automated fraud checks for every customer, a published residential sourcing policy and EWDCI co-founder status.

Where Decodo's pricing wins

  • Both a $4.00/GB pay-as-you-go rate and a $11.25 entry plan, so you can test on a card before committing
  • The finest self-serve residential ladder of the premium providers: five plans between 3 GB and 100 GB
  • Enterprise residential reaches $2.00/GB at 1,000 GB
  • Site Unblocker offers a per-request meter as well as per GB, charged only for successful requests
  • Free API plans with 2,000 requests a month and no card

Where it costs you

  • Every price excludes VAT, which EU buyers must add
  • Plan traffic is a monthly allowance; unused gigabytes are lost
  • Datacenter proxies have no pay-as-you-go route
  • The shared per-IP datacenter plan charges traffic separately at a rate the page does not show
  • The free trial and the 14-day money-back are mutually exclusive

Verdict on Decodo's pricing

4.4 out of 5

The most buyer-friendly rate card among the premium providers we track. A published pay-as-you-go rate, a $11.25 entry plan and five self-serve steps to 100 GB make it cheap to evaluate and hard to overbuy, and its residential rates undercut Bright Data and Oxylabs at almost every volume. The costs are VAT on everything, monthly expiry on plans, and a datacenter per-IP plan whose real price the page does not show.

Our methodology

Residential and datacenter prices were read from Decodo's own pricing pages on October 24, 2026; Site Unblocker and SERP API prices on September 5, 2026; Web Scraping API terms on September 30, 2026. All are recorded in our machine-readable pricing dataset, which also renders every table on this page. We run no independent performance benchmarks, so success rates and response times are vendor claims. This is a document-based comparison: check the retrieval date before quoting any figure here.
